The growths of Petite Champagne and
Fins Bois provide a perfect harmony.
Their respective powerfulness and finesse
are delicately balanced, the woodiness has
softened, and the body has become rounder
after a fine, elegant initial taste. The
characteristics of vintage port melt into
the somewhat rounder aromas of dry fruit,
such as hazelnut and walnut, after floral
touches of iris and hyacinth which add a
freshness to this harmonious blend. The
cognac has taken on a darker colour with
russet flashes, specific to cognacs which
have benefited from long oxidation in the
barrel.
